Save Time and Money
If you feel like a spectator in your own life, stuck in a holding pattern while waiting for court dates so you can move on to a new chapter in your life, we understand. There is another option to consider.
Mediation is a way to constructively and creatively set new boundaries with the assistance of a neutral and experienced professional in resolving family law issues. Mediation reshapes the conversation so that both sides are heard and mutually fair agreements can be reached.
Avoid time-consuming and expensive litigation. Keep your matters private, mediation is not a public record. Mediation can help maintain peace and promote the best interests of the family through peaceful resolution, which is particularly important when children are involved.

How Mediation Works
Mediation is a confidential proceeding which can take place in a variety ways by suggestion of the mediator and/or agreement of the parties. The parties can meet with the mediator either together, or separately, or a combination of both ways. The meetings can include attorneys if the parties so desire. Additionally, mediation can take place online through Zoom or other similar platforms.
Initial Consultation
Initial
Consultation
Mediation begins with an initial consultation. We will discuss the basic situation and determine if mediation is your correct course of action. This gives the parties a chance to understand the process and ask questions.
Meeting
Meeting
Meetings with the parties can take separately, jointly, or a combination of both. The parties may bring attorneys at their discretion. Meetings can take place online, or at reasonably agreed locations in New Mexico. At the meetings, each party will have the opportunity to discuss their positions, and the goal of mediation is for both parties to work constructively to reach a mutually acceptable agreement of settlement.
